Basic Info
Name:Shibuya Yuuri
Birthdate:07-29
Bio
Your character's name:Shibuya, Yuuri
Series your character's from: Kyou Kara Maou! (Kyo Kara Maoh!)
Background info on your character:
Yuuri is the youngest son (at the age of 15) of Shibuya Miko and Shibuya Shoma (resulting him in being half Mazoku and half human), and he spent the earliest years of his life protected by Shibuya Shouri, his elder brother. He was named, even before birth, by Conrad Weller, as suggesting the name to his mother as she was taken to the hospital to deliver the child, which set forth what would be his 'destiny' of sorts. His mother, even at his young age was someone who decided that it was fun to dress up him as a girl. While he and Shouri were both young, indirectly, Shouri learned that Yuuri was to be someone important in a "far-away land".

He ended up being someone, as he got older, who became a bit (perhaps an understatement) of a baseball fanatic (which he later on applies the ways to play baseball to how one would hold and use a sword XD). One day, while standing up for a classmate, Murata Ken, some bullies took him and decided they would dunk his head in a toilet. Instead of getting the results they would have liked, he was "flushed" into Shin Makoku. Initially, his thoughts were that it was an amusement park of sorts. He had problems communicating with the people there until Adalbert rattled him up and he was saved by Conrad.

It was at that point where he learned he was to be the next Maou of Shin Makoku, which is, essentially, the Demon King (and the most powerful Mazoku that there is there). There, he is reluctant at first to take the position, but eventually he comfortably shifts into the part, as time progresses and he accepts what he was meant to be b y the support those around him have given him. Not knowing the traditions that Shin Makoku have, during a verbal fight between Wolfram and himself, he slaps Wolfram across his left cheek, thus causing him to have proposed to the other male.

Wolfram, insulted, challenges Yuuri to a duel, and at this point it is learned that lurking inside of him truly is the Maou, a man who lives for Justice, and leaves the word "Justice" on each person that he systematically defeats. The Maou is a powerful thing that lives inside of him, and would come out in the most necessary situations. He has a tendency to form rather crude monsters/creatures (out of garbage, things he can find that are around him, water, etc...although water is his specialty). He seems to have a bit of a sense of humor, and usually says that he doesn't like to shed blood, but that now that he has no choice, he will. He leaves with the word "Justice" given to his opponent.

Later on in the series, he ends up adopting a human girl named Greta who once attempted to assassinate him, and Wolfram takes her under his wing as well. He calls her his 'daughter'. He's protective over here, and over those around him as well, and he tends to highly value other lives, sometimes almost more than his own. He has a hard time abandoning someone when they are telling him to run. When in Big Shimaron, questing for one of the four Boxes, he makes a loud and clear point that he is sick of running and hiding.

Yuuri himself, however, has very little obvious powers. He has the ability to wield Morgif (because he can only be wielded by someone who is the Maou, but he doesn't need to be in the form of the Maou for it to work), though through his travels, this super-powerful demon sword has been made rather powerless, even when he obtains the Jewel at which its power is contained again, he choses to not use the sword to what is probably its full extent. He also seems to have minor healing skills, which are inherited from the soul of Julia von Wincott.

Yuuri himself is a pacifist. He choses to treasure the people in his kingdom and the humans equally, and decides that he would rather make the neighboring countries come to peace with Shin Makoku instead of going to war with them. He's a genuinely good hearted person, as well. He's extremely forgiving, even going so far as to forgive people who have attempted to end his life because of the position of power that he is in.

Also, he tends to be trusting, to the point where it gets him into danger at all the most inconvenient times. He falls into traps easily, and because of this, it almost appears as though he is naive. He genuinely believes there is good in everyone that he meets, and that every problem can be solved with words instead of swords. He holds high hopes that he will bring peace across this world that he is in and that humans and Mazoku can live together peacefully.

The engagement to Wolfram, to him, is strange. He doesn't believe it is possible for two men to be engaged to one another, and throughout the series it seems he does develop an affectin for Wolfram, which he wouldn't describe as more than friendship. He would, always, be in deep denial of any sort of feelings beyond friendship for Wolfram, and is what one would describe as someone who represses those feelings, and hides them beneath the idea that it isn't right or that it is weird for two men to be engaged. He'd debate with Wolfram saying that he is not a "CHEATER" nor is he a "WIMP".
